DONT PLAY IN PAIN

Do not play sport when in PAIN. Pain does not mean there is serious injury. There are many parts to the body that are put under enormous stress during sport.

In Basketball the knees and hips are under continual stress. Players have to jump, spin, accelerate, stop on a sixpence and be able to keep this up for 4 quarters...

Have your  body treated on a regular basis, even if you are not in pain...

REMEMBER, YOUR TEAM DEPENDS ON YOU!!!

COMPUTERS

We have all heard how computers can cause serious problems with our body. Its TRUE. There is nothing natural about sitting at a computer for hours on end. We end up with round stooped shoulders, our necks are compressed with shortening of the muscles surrounding the spine and our breathing capacity is diminished.

All these postural issues can lead to fatigue, headaches, poor digestion and decreased motivation and productivity.

Consider seeing an Osteopath for a regular treatment to allow the body to perform at its optimum.

POSTURE

Some of our largest muscle groups are in our back, surrounding the spine and connecting the pelvis to the skull. Many back problems relate to these muscles, if we stand tall, we work them and they become more efficient, and, we can claim to be taller as we lift up through the spine. After only 3-4 weeks we will adapt to this new tension and find it very difficult to go back to the old posture.
