Did you realise how effective walking can be! We all rely on transport, even short distances. Next time you have to travel, can I walk there?

It is fun and you will get to see much more without the hassle of driving, and parking your car.

You can even walk with a friend. Ensure that you carry enough water...

Business Health

As health and lifestyle consultants, we educate businesses to understand their workplaces ergonomically and their people individually.

We believe that better people, create better business and lead better lives.

What is Ergonomics?

Ergonomics is a discipline that involves arranging the environment to fit the person in it. When ergonomics is applied correctly in the work environment, visual and musculoskeletal discomfort and fatigue are reduced significantly.

This is accomplished by designing work spaces, controls, displays, tools, lighting, and equipment to fit the employee’s physical capabilities and limitations.

Repetitive motion has been identified as a significant factor in employee injuries.

These injuries are caused by excessive and repeated physical stress on the musculoskeletal system – particularly the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck and back.

What We Offer

We work with management to create, design and modify individual workstations to suit each individual to improve posture and alignment, and reduce risks of repetitive strain injuries.

In addition, we assess and tailor a solution to match each employee using principles and practices from Osteopathy, Yoga and Voice Dialogue. Voice Dialogue is a process of exploring the subconscious mind and discovering hidden aspects of the personality. In business, this can lead to the breaking of traditional habits and emergence of creative potential.

We aim to find the best way for each employee to balance physically, mentally and emotionally, through a holistic approach. We assess each individual with the utmost care and consideration to provide a program of treatment that is achievable, encouraging and rewarding.

The Program

  • Consultation with management
  • Assessment of individuals and their workspaces
  • Design of ergonomic spaces
  • Programs for management and treatment of pain
  • Educational Workshops
  • Maintenance Program

Benefits to Business

  • Enhanced relationships in the workplace
  • Maximum performance
  • Increased productivity
  • Employee retention
  • Employee longevity

People who are happy at work take these qualities into everyday life.

Yoga in the Workplace

While good ergonomic design can greatly improve levels of fatigue and visual and muscular discomfort, yoga can build body awareness so that an individual can make his/her own postural adjustments to improve levels of comfort. With conscious breath control, energy levels are increased and the mind can refocus.

We design simple stretches and adapt poses and specific breathing techniques for each individual at their desk, so that each person has the skills to make adjustments when needed to prevent discomfort and mental strain. This approach is unobtrusive to other people, and increases mental clarity and concentration without distracting from the work at hand.

We also offer group yoga programs for employees either early morning, lunchtime or when required. Participating in a yoga class brings all the yoga benefits and in our experience positively impacts on employee relationships.
